Recently moved from Colorado to California and needed to get my cosmetology license transferred. I was able to apply for reciprocity and all I needed was to take my photo at PSI to receive my California license. The phone number doesn't work and open hours weren't clear. I decided that I would go during the weekday to see if it was open. Hours are Monday - Thursday 8:30am to 9:15pm Friday - Saturday 8:30am to 5:30pm
Everyone was very helpful and nice. The process took less than 20 minutes and it was slightly busy. I hope this review helps others regarding hours.

Said hours were open and the door is locked. Can’t call anyone. Phone numbers all seem to be not set up. After driving over 1.5 hours to get here and not open when we called ahead to make sure they were open for a photo.

Online information inaccurate drove a 2-hour round trip for nothing, and they don't even have a number to call this location to ask questions, so you get here and ask.

It was such a nice set up. It was comfortable and the administrative personnel were so professional and accommodating. I also, loved how private it was during the actual license exam. You found out on the computer whether you passed or not; not in front of a whole bunch of people waiting for the pass/no pass notices. Even though I passed, I still wanted to keep it to myself, rather than having people find out through my facial expressions and/or body language.

PRETTY QUICK AND SIMPLE. Came here for the open carry firearms assessment. 185 questions with a survey at the end. I personally finished exam in 20min. Received a paper at the end with results of "Demonstrates" They basically ask you same questions 10 different ways. Remember this exam is to determine how competent you are around people with a firearms. If you demonstrate the ability to be responsible and have restraint. I'm an outgoing patient person who dosen't keep to himself. So I answered accordingly. Last 10-15 questions are very simple math pattern questions like: 1345-1 what comes next. And questions like ice is to water as rock is to lava. Don't over think the ?'s too much! Last note they make you put everything in a locker purses, hats, wallets, keys, phones ect...Good Luck!!!
